for the Jewish Teachers Award 2026

THE JEWISH TEACHERS AWARD

Jewish teachers are the identity builders of the Jewish people.

From Buenos Aires to Budapest, from Melbourne to Montreal, they pass on far more than knowledge—they cultivate belonging, values, memory, and purpose.

The Jewish Teacher Award was created to recognize these extraordinary educators and celebrate the profound role they play in shaping our collective future.

ABOUT THIS INITIATIVE

This is a joint international initiative led by The Jerusalem Post, the Israeli Ministry for Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism, and UnitEd, and in partnership with Herzog College, dedicated to strengthening the future of the Jewish world through education, identity, and a deep connection to the State of Israel.

The award honors outstanding teachers in Jewish day schools worldwide who work every day to strengthen Jewish identity, deepen students’ connection to the Jewish people and Israel, and help shape the next generation of Jewish communities around the world.

The award’s professional educational partner is UnitEd, a global nonprofit organization partnering with the State of Israel, through the Israeli Ministry for Diaspora and Combating Antisemitism, to strengthen Jewish day schools worldwide, empowering the next generation of Jewish leaders and ensuring vibrant Jewish communities for generations to come, and Herzog College.

We know the challenges you face, the courage your work requires, and the impact you have on the future of the Jewish people. You are the torchbearers of our nation. Together, we will ensure that the flame of Jewish continuity continues to burn brightly for generations to come.”
